Here are the things I've done since July 12:

Right now I'm not even in the Google listings. Yahoo! has picked the site up, but it's link still lists this site as coming soon. Just got to get in front of the boy wonder Josh that's so good at squash. But I'm the Big Lebowski.

So far I Have:

  • 9/8-I took a short hiatus because I wanted to see where my keyword ranking for ‘josh greenfield' settled. My page has been live for the better part of two months now and I'm sitting in the following ranks:

    Google : # 4 & 5 - Yahoo!: # 1 - MSN: #5

    Aftervote.com is great way to track your homepage rank for any keyword across multiple engines. It's also a 'social search engine'. Something of a Stumbleupon.com, Google hybrid.

    Not too shabby. This page has no real traffic and doesn't have any incoming links. Sad but true.

    Another good SEO management tool that I like to use when evaluating this site is the TouchGraph.com. It's a good tool to view my pages floating linklessly. How sad.

  • 7/26-For the last couple days, I've subbmitted to several more free engines (which you'll be able to find on my links page when there is one) and commented on several blogs.
  • 7/26-Adding a ton of content to the Boston Company Directory, should have worked on the Josh Greenfield Directory to up the search ranks. Content and traffic are huge here, so I'm going with some content of interest.
  • 7/21-Set up Boston company Wiki and linked it into this page. That should help spiders crawl a wider area of relevent content. Spiders also really like content updates.
  • 7/18-Uploaded said sitemap, and submitted it to Google right here:https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools
  • 7/18-Added sitemap.xml that I created using http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
  • 7/18-Submitted Site to MSN
  • 7/12-Recommended JoshuaGreenfield.com to Stumble Upon
  • 7/12-Added JoshuaGreenfield.com to Dmoz.
  • 7/12-Added the site to the Amazon affiliate program
  • 7/12-Uploaded site With some name dropping.
  • 7/12- Uploaded site on: www.godaddy.com. They offer a wiki, classifieds code, and other great features. The functions are super intuitive.
