Summary Description
Work with each individual to help him/her realize his or her vocational goals through job development and job placement. Program development and administrative responsibilities, knowledge of job development, planning and implementation. Assisting the Program Director in the following: coordination of all individual services, liaison with affiliate community employers, other agency employees, families, government agencies and the community.
Duties and Responsibilities 1. Participate in planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of off-site and on-site vocational opportunities.
2. Monitor and ensure the health, safety, rights and dignity of individuals to encourage their independence while in the program, at community work sites and in the community, in accord with individual choice and human rights.
3. Identify resources and materials for skill-building instruction and training/simulated work projects.
4. Coordinate logistics for off-site placements, including scheduling, transportation, work performance and training.
5. Complete vocational profiles, task analysis, job matching, and assessments for community work placements.
6. Complete Case Management duties for assigned individuals, including advocacy, team planning, and liaison with other agencies and families.
7. Complete all Progress Notes, Support Strategies, Vocational Assessments, Community Integration Logs and other required documentation utilized within the program in a timely manner.
8. Assist in maintaining and monitoring time study and average hourly wage documentation in accordance with the Department of Labor standards as needed for all work sites.
9. Provide and log job development products and activities, and chair weekly Job Club meetings, documenting such events.
10. Model a professional appearance and demeanor while at the program and at community work sites, treating all recipients, staff, and families as valued adults.
11. Use own vehicle to transport individuals to and from work sites, travel training, developing alternative transportation and monitoring of the same.
12. Develop natural supports and promote networking and positive peer relations for long-term supervision and advocacy for all individuals placed.
13. Develop partnerships and alliances within the local community in order to further the mission of the Employment Supports Program.
Other Job Functions 14. In the absence of the Program Director provide managerial support and supervision.
Hours & Benefits
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
